Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Era Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) repair and inspect the Company’s fleet to ensure mission readiness in accordance with policies, procedures and specifications as set forth in the Company’s and the manufacturers’ manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).

FLEET MAINTENANCE

AMTs are responsible for maintaining, repairing and replacing parts of the aircraft. AMTs conduct detailed inspections of the entire aircraft, document repairs and maintain maintenance records of aircraft they oversee.

GULF OF MEXICO AMTs

Era’s GOM-based AMTs are provided with the best housing facilities in the industry, typically three-bedroom apartments with kitchen and living room common areas, cable television and internet. Era also pays a per diem to eligible employees to supplement meal and incidental expenses while on hitch.

REPORTING

AMTs maintain an attitude of alertness concerning possible unsafe or hazardous practices and are required by Era's companywide safety policy to report any such practices.

COMMUNICATION

AMTs provide detailed and complete reports of work progression for tie-in with his/her relief and provide on-the-job instruction and supervision of personnel assigned to assist him/her.

Collaboration

AMTs use strong interpersonal skills to support and champion ideas as a unified team to promote safety, innovation and growth of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid FAA A&P license required;
  • Minimum of two (2) years commercial helicopter experience required;
  • Previous training or experience with company-specific airframes preferred;
  • Must be able to operate MS Office Suite and some web-based computer programs (Excel, Word and Outlook);
  • Strong avionics and electrical experience preferred;
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to include overtime or travel, as required;
  • Must possess or be able to possess a valid Passport; and
  • Previous supervisory, inspections or international experience a plus.
